OK, so what I can tell from research is that there is a specific kind of food for Bettas? Pellets that you should feed them once a day, with frozen bloodworm once every few days.

Or is my research utter carp? :S

How do you feed your bettas? What works best.

Also, is it a good idea to have some salt in the water? Sure I asked this before but cant find the thread now :X

I love all you Betta experts :)

I feed a variety of foods which include, live blackworms, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp and mosquito larvae and then hikari betta bio gold pellets. I also occassionally feed a female tank HBH Betta Bites. As to what they get each day, it depends on how I feel, Lol.

As for salt, I do use salt in the individual tanks and spawn/fry tanks. And a bit in the female/growout tanks.

You can get special betta pellets. I use ones made by hikari. They also like live or frozen bloodworms. However it depends on the fish, all bettas are different, some are very picky and some are not so picky.

I feed my betta Hikari Betta Bio-Gold Baby Pellets. Then from time to time, usually two times every week, I'll feed him some frozen bloodworms. :D

I feed my bettas Hikari Gold betta pellets, frozen blood worms, and crushed krill (not all the bettas like krill...but a few are little piggys and eat anything I put in there). I do have aquarium salt added to all the tanks, including the spawning and fry tanks. I do a solution of luke warm water, aquarium salt, and dechlorinator (sp).

i feed my bettas 2 betta plettes, three times a week. and shripm other days.

I use Hikari Betta Bio-Gold and my two bettas like that. I tried giving them live brine shrimp but they didn't seem interested in that at all (is that strange?).

Will they eat the dried bloodworms too or only frozen?
