We all see them, and I don't know about anyone else, but I always feel so bad for these poor little fishies sitting quietly in their cups at the LPS. :( (I know they're fine in that little amount of water, but still...)

I have a community tank:
1 African Brown Knife
6 Assorted Tetras (Long Fin, Neon, Red Eye, Bleeding Heart)
1 Algea Eater
1 Molly

...Has anyone had experience introducing single Male Bettas to a large community tank? Do they take well? If so, would my current setup allow for one? I get mixed responses depending on who I ask. I love Bettas and would love to have even just one in my tank, but I don't want to risk it if he'll be killed or stressed to death.

it all depends on the Betta.

I keep my Betta in my community tank and he's a really happy, peaceful guy with the other fish. He never flares and he'll happily swim along with everyone. So yeah, it can work ;)

You may want to take a look at the pictures in this thread before mixin a Betta with neons!

MY BETTA IS OK IN MY TANK, THE ONLY FISH HE DONT LIKE IS THE BIG FEMAIL CORY,HE FLARES ALL THE TIME AT HER,BUT SHE JUST IGNORES HIM,OTHER THAN THAT EVERY THING IS FINE.
AS YOU SEE BY THE SIG ,MY TANK IS NOT BIG AND IS VERY HEAVILY STOCKED
