Betta Finrot: Melafix + Trisulfa?

One of my boys has finrot rather bad..

I was away from the boys for a few weeks, due to college transportation issues.. and this is what I came home to. =/

I have him on Melafix, but I also have TriSulfa. I know TriSulfa would be better, but I try to use it sparingly (I'm allergic to it), and I wanted to verify that I can use TriSulfa in conjunction with Melafix.

It would seem to me, after doing a quick google, that TriSulfa is (in all respects or disease treatment) the same as melafix.
I wouldn't use the two together personally, in fact I wouldn't use melafix with a betta as it is too strong. melafix with bettas should be at half the stated dose.
when treating a betta with finrot the best medication is bettafix IMHO.
