Betta Fever Strikes Again

Here's the story: I was there when he came in the shipment at the LFS a month ago. I saw him and completely but he was $14 and I just didn't have the funding. So I went in there today and there he was. I was stunned because he is awesome and like 4 people wanted him originally. I asked why he was still here and I guess he got really depressed and just layed on the bottom. And he started wasting away. So they took him in the back and tried feeding him live bloodworms to perk him up. But it didn't work so they just put him back on the shelf to get rid of him today. Since he was depressed and laying down on the bottom of his cup, they gave him to me for only $3. Purdy nice, eh?

Here is my new guy:

He needs a name that is graceful and silky. He is actually a pink pearly color with a tad of grey metallic wash in his tail.

Watch out for that new guy. He found the owner he wanted, and decided to look sick till that person came back to get him. He is looking pretty good in your shots. I guess the fish got what he wanted.

He is so perky too! It's just too funny! He all swam up and greeted me this morning all perky and dancing! What a sweetheart! Guess he's a manipulative little guy though.... And he got his first good meal in probably a month, so he was all happy. I put him next to my laptop so he'd get a lot of attention because I wasn't sure if he was gunna perk up or not considering that he was actually laying on the bottom all the way home. But as soon as he had spent 1 minute in that tank, he was all fishy-smiles!

THank you! I didn't really do anything to perk him up. I guess clean water and more than 3 sq inches to swim in really does the trick! His next door neighbor in the split tank bubblenested for him too
