Somewhere over the rainbow...
I was changing the water, and I was pouring the water in. The stream of water hit him several times, and he was swimming around lopsided. Then, he did a series of clumsy flips in the water, then landing upside down on the bottom of his bowl. He burst quickly back up, but then slowly fell back down again on his side. He tried many times, as if trying to survive, but he did not appear to have any energy at all. He then landed on his side again, nothing moving but his gills. Now, he isn't moving at all. He is on the bottom of the bowl, head touching the ground, and tail in the air. Could he have swallowed a pebble or something? Could he have been shocked by the water hitting him several times? I don't know. All I know is, he's problebly dead. :-( If you have any opinion to why he is dead, or if he is dead or not, please tell me...until then, i'll be sitting in my chair, mourning.

Eeeeks! Either put the water in gently a little at a time (I use shot glasses - time consuming but at least it's controlled) or just remove him from the bowl to pour a large amount of water in. You don't want anything going down the 'wrong way' through the gills with all that turbulence.
