i was in the petstore and got a crowntail betta male!
. the petstore person asked me if i knew why the fins had slit like sturucture to it and i answered by saying that it was because it was a crowntail betta
. then she said " o really? i thought it was because it was that he got in a fight with another betta. crown tail bettas are 4.99 not 2.99. now i wish i just let her think it was a regular betta
. well i was mad because it was 4.99 and i was planing it on being 2.99 so now i want to breed them so i dont have to pay $5 each time i get one. so i was wondering if i could get a female crown betta and let them make some kids. he is in a 5 1/2 gal with one ADF at the moment. i probably will get more ADF's. i just wanted to know if the male would beat up the female or something. and i also wanted to know if the female betta had to be a crowntail betta. if they cant be together i would just get a divider for the tank. i would like to know if its easy to breed them or if there is any adjustments to the water i need to do. thx
