Betta breeders in KC area?

Does anyone here know of any betta breeders in the Kansas City area? I live in St. Joseph, MO, which is close to KC. I would like to have some nice bettas eventually but I surely can't afford to have them shipped from Indonesia or someplace like that.

Jeff Hiller is close by. He is the Secretary for the IBC. I believe he was the president of the IBC at one time. He has access to very well bred fish, and is a good breeder in his own right. The international Convention was just held in KC this past week. You could look on the IBC webpage to get information on contacting members that are in your area.

yes, Jeff and Cheryl Hiller are in Tonganoxie, KS and the Midwest Betta Club is in the same city (Jeff is the president). His email address is [email protected] you should contact him about fish and other local breeders and maybe get hooked up with their club.
