Check out this for a betta tank. It looks like it would be pretty cool but I think it is only available in the UK. Does anyone on the other side of the big pond know about these and are they any good.
30 liters, yea i would think so, just make sure there is a large air bubble at teh top and air holes, bettas do breath in oxygen from the top of the water. its very nice, the UK never stops impressiing me with their aquarium desighns, i wish i could say the same about the stuff thats sold here in america
The only thing is that there isn't a large surface area for the betta to breathe from.. Though I suppose the top of a biorb should be enough, just make sure that he can get enough air.
It's probably the built in filter that drives the price up. Doesn't really look like you could put any substrate in it though. Looks like you would have to take it all out to change the filter media. I like the idea of the air line coming into the bottom of the bowl though. Airlines running through the tank look ugly.
hi;
I have no experiance with bi-orbs other than seeing many inappropriatly stocked with danios, tetras, goldfish etc.
Bettas are, IMHO, the only thing that is suitable for them.
if you want one, which are extreamly expensive, check out ebay.co.uk(not ebay.com)
there are often many of these on there and I'm sure someone would ship to you.
there is also a new version called the Bi-ube whish has a greater surface area but it is even more expensive.
HTH
unless ure sure its exactly what u want i wouldn't recomend it for the sheer fact they are SO over priced. yes they look amazing but to replace parts costs a fortune i.e. their lights, filters
dunno if u could get around this but if u want to get it from ebay its the cheapest way ull find them. a tropical biorb in the Uk costs around £130 hell of a lot for a 30g tank!!!!!!
