I was in my LFS today looking for some things for my 10 gallon and saw this. It says it neutralizes chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia. I was wondering if anyone has used it before?
I also found another one its Splendid Betta Complete Water Conditioner. Do they work or is it just a waste of money?

I wouldn't use the chemical that removes ammonia as it'll prevent you from cycling the tank properly which is realy best in a 10gal(you can find more info on cycling in the pinned articles at the top of the beginner section), as for the water conditioner/dechlorinator i've never heard of it but brands like AquaSafe and StressCoat i know do well for bettas

I've seen it but don't use it. I use Amquel and Novaqua. Also add some salt on occasional water changes (not every time).

I have used Betta Max but that's not a dechlorinator/water conditioner. It's a fish treatment.

I just saw my mistake. I should have put 3 gallons instead of 10. Sorry.
I wasn't thinking. My betta is in a 3 gallon now. I'm doing WC every three to four days. Is that right?

Made by Kent, right? I actually won some at an IBC raffle. I won a bunch of stuff, including 2 bottles of that. I kept one, and it does the job - but man, does it ever smell bad! Took me so long to get over the smell, I could barely bear to put it in the tanks. Mixed with water, the smell goes away, and the fish were just fine. Having said that, Stresscoat is the best, in my opinion, IF you are doing 100% changes on your 3g. The ammonia for one betta should be at very low levels if you do 100% changes 2x a week.

However, if your water has chloramines (different from chlorine, it might have that too!), those break down in tank water, and one of the products is ammonia. If this is the case for you, you will want to use something with an ammonia neutralizer. I would recommend Amquel - from what I've heard, it's not nearly as stinky as the Kent Betta Bowl Essential!

yeah it smells bad i dont use it anymore since it made my tanks smell of dog ####
