betta bites

just got my first 2 !!
i was feeding some frozen brine shrimp off the tip of my finger and my usually docile little double tail girl jumped up and bit me!!! it was kinda shocking, but didn't really hurt. i then went over to feed the boys and kyuck, the aggressive master bubble blower did the same thing!!! after that i went and got some tweezers from the bathroom!!!

Let them bite. They are not flowerhorn or pharana. They don't have teeth and won't bleed your fingers. hehehe

my molly nibbles my hand when i vacuum the gravel, but this was much more aggressive...i could swear i felt teeth!!!! it was fun, though...i'll have to try again tomorrow with the bloodworms!!!!

used to love being nibbled by goldfish when i was a kid...it must be fun now too....hehehe...tickle tickle

My giant goldfish (5-6) inches would practically swallow my finger.

And betta bites don't hurt at all. It is sweet.

Aaaw! They just wanna show you how much they lurve you. Plus, they want food.

I have one..that if I wave my hand over his tank..he jumps half is body length out of the water. If you keep on they get used to your hands...the one that jumps out of the water (Han) will even let me touch him if I feel so inclined.

Their mouths are just hard..which is why it felt like teeth. So they can crunch insects .
