Betta And Kribs/rams

My Rams and Betta were fine together, before I got the Betta it's own tank. There was never even a sniff of fighting/flaring and the Rams spend most of their time along the bottom, which was the opposite of the Betta.

Saying that though, each fish has their own personality and some are more aggressive than others. Providing you have a back up plan if things did get nasty, then I'd give it a go if it's what you wanted. Kribs ont he other hand... my experience of them is that they were nasty little sods, breeding or not.

i definitely agree about the kribs. i'm getting rid of mine as they are becoming too aggressive with breeding.

cheers :good:

I keep a female betta with my kribs. The female, who is very territorial, only bothers the betta if she gets near her at the bottom of the tank. The female betta is stressed though when she is by herself.

Hmm the betta has a tank of his own I was just looking to put him in a tank with one of those pair to save running costs and so I could use his tank a hospital tank, as i've been stug a few time with buying fish which a wek later turn out to be carrying somthing

So is it mayby worth setting up and trying that set up with 1st choice being kribs and if they get to aggressive towards the betta put him back in his old tank sine someone has had sucess before? or no point in even trying with kribs but could work with rams? or keep the betta where he is and make do without a hospital tank?
