In my 4 gal I now have a male and female Betta (She is absolutlely tiny  ) She's got vertical stripes and chong makes nests but whenever he sees here he goes chasing after her, He never attacks her just follows her around and flares his gills. He chases her once every minute or so for about 4 seconds (When he sees her). she's not stressed or anything and doesn't try to run away very hard (She sometimes goes up to see him) but I was wondering whether this is normal behavior or whether they're not getting along too well and whether she would be better in the 10 gal. I'm not trying to breed them I'm just trying to see whether they will get along :D Cheers guys

I recently placed a female into a 10 gallon w/ a male. He loves to chase her around, although as of yet I haven't seen him do any damage.

She mostly just hides ( or tries to hide, but he is a master at hide and seek, and always finds her quite quick ).

I'm sure this is stressing her out a bit, so I'm probably going to take her out, but I'll give it another day or two to see if he'll relax.

During the day I prop a mirror up to the tank, which will usually draw his attention away from her, and he'll spend most of the time flaring at himself.
