I'm hoping someone can help. I have a male Beta, have had him for about 6 months. Over the last few weeks, he's been getting more and more lethargic, hiding in the corners of the tank, and yesterday I noticed that he has a distinct "bend".

He's in a 28 gallon community tank, and everyone else seems to be doing OK. He still has an appetite and shows up at the front/top of the tank when I tap the glass at feeding time.

Is this some type of disease, or is he showing signs of age?

Any help would be appreciated. Frankly, I'm baffled. :(

what is your ammonia and nitrites and nitrates sometimes bettas get stress if its water is got high levels have you checked his tail for rot or any fungus. mabey if you could take him out of that tank for a day or two they have a medicine called betta max that is real good for bettas it seems to perk mine right up I would recommend it for anyone who has a betta
