Well the bare tank has gone and been replaced with a few bits of wood and plants. I have also picked up 10 clown loach between 4-5" although one is laying on its side breething heavily so think I may be down to 9 by the morning. I also picked myself up a sorubium lima and a tiny Ornate birchir. That leaves my current stocking as:

1x Microlepsis
1x thin bar
1x campbelli
1x royal knife
2x Pearsei
1x congicus birchir
1x ornate birchir
10x clown loach
1x L018 plec
1x L200 plec

I will also be adding 3 more plecs when I get them in a few days a L048, L114 and an L330. I am now looking for a group of fish to adding im toying between uaru.f or Hoplarchus psittacus maybe something else do you guys have any suggestions. Anyways on with the pics:

Very nice fish. Do you find your plecs get enough food with all those big greedy fish?

Yeah they eat fine mate I always overfeed inorder for the timid fish to get food then remove it later.

You know what's funny? I have been toying with this kind of idea as well. Even though I just got that Brycon, I am really ready to move onto a group of fish for the mid-water area (especially if they aren't going to be a terror to the bichirs, as the brycon enjoys being). I am also about to order some extra wood and plants for my tank. It's strange how this all happens.

Anyway, I really like that you got some clown loaches. They are so impressive when in a group and I think that they are underrated.

I can't wait to see how the tank progresses. ;)

EDIT: I just want to add that I think that the U. fernandezyepezi would be a better choice. Apparently (from what I remember about parrots) they aren't the best together once they mature, but I could be wrong. I think that Uarus are nicer, anyway.

Why the big change, or i am not the only one to suffer some huge losses recently?

how bout some big silver dollars Mark? some people think they are boring but I've got 9 large ones in my tank and I think they look great, are very active and occupy the mid water

I also got two Uarus in a seperate tank and they are great to keep and when fully mature are beautiful

He had like 15 silver dollars before and sold them off lol

then he had 6 rotkeil Sev and sold them lol

gonna need a few of whatever to fill tht space tho.....

Uaru's sound good tho....

Also you've gotta get a flagtail mate :D every tank needs one.

Might take some pics of my tank weds or thursday.

The colors on the Bichir are immense!!!, Lovley pics as always mate... :good:

big change is sure is. so the aros , dats, rays and mbu even, and all the other fishes are gone?

Whyyyyyy!??! The Mbu was amazing! You had an awesome tank with amazing fish and traded them in for boring belly button fish!
