I just bought a small cup full of live bloodworms at petland discounts, and i was wondering how i should store them? Do i have to put them in the freezer, fridge, or neither? ANy help? thanks

rinse them through a net/tea strainer (NOT the one you use for your tea!) and keep them in a jar. a cool place will keep them alive longer, put em in the fridge if your family or whatever dont mind, not in the freezer cs tehy will obviously die. ;)

tehre might be other things  but thats what i do with mine.

And how to feed them? How long will they last before they must all be fed?

Hi Jebus :)

If you shop at Petland Discounts, I suspect that you either have tubifex worms or blackworms, not bloodworms. ;)

Both kinds are nutritious and fish love to eat them, but it's very important to care for them properly. To do this, wash them daily and store them covered, in the refrigerator.

To wash them, put them into a cup or other container and fill with COLD water. (I like to use a 2 cup plastic measuring cup since its little spout makes it easy to pour off the dirty water.) Give them a stir to separate them and let them settle back to the bottom. Pour off the water and repeat this process until the water runs off clear. Pour off most of the water and pour into a jar or other covered container. Store in the refrigerator.

Washing them daily removes their waste products and refreshes them which will prolong their lives.
