Whats the best why to try and get rid of this?

If this helps
Tank size: 200L
pH:7-7.5
ammonia:?
nitrite: <0.3 mg/l
nitrate: ?
kH:9
gH:11
tank temp: 23.5

Cheers.

How many fish do you have in the tank and which type as you have a nitrite reading.
Immediate water change.
Looks like columnaris to me as the fungus looks fluffy.
In the uk myxazin and pimafix.

The tank is far from overstocked i think, it has 10 fish in. This is the stock -

2 x Gastromyzon sp. (affected fish)
and 2 x Stiphodon sp., 2 x Schismotogobius sp. and 4 Lentipes sp. (all small gobies)

Should I buy both melafix and pimafix treatments or do i just need 1?

Cheers.

Melafix is no good on columnaris, you need myxazin by waterlife and pimafix it ok to use pimafix with myxazin together.

Thanks Wilder,

Should I look to buy both waterlifes myxazin and pimafix? or is it better to use one or the other?

Cheers.

You need to buy both the myxazin and pimafix.
Good luck.

Over night I did a large water change and also added a small amount of aquarium salt to the water and this morning the fungus has nearly all disappeared. Now the edges of the effected fins look a little tatty and are a bit bloodshot.

Is this an improvement or not?

I also brought the myxazin, I’ve had to order the pimafix of the web as the shop doesn’t stock it.

No sorry,
If the edging of there fins is blood red thats septicemia.
Anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
