Best Way To Cut Resin

My mom bought me a beautiful seated Buddha resin aquarium decoration for my new tank... The only problem is that it is about 3" too tall for my tank. My mom said she can return it, but I really love it and want to use it. I'm thinking I can just cut a bit of the base off to make it fit, but was wondering what the best way to do it was.

Electric band saw with fine tooth blade or maybe a hack saw.
