Best Uk Shop For Catfishes (plecos Mostly)

Where in the uk (or EU) is a shop with a large variety of plecos and other catfishes? Are there any specialized stores?
The bigger the better


also shops that sell some rarer, unusual fish

I don't know where you are but there is a store called Wholesale Tropicals in the East End of London. They have a fantastic selection of fish and specialise in L-numbers... just don't expect friendly, helpful staff!!

Terry at wholesale tropicals is fast becoming well know for unusual catfish

just don't expect friendly, helpful staff!!

I have to disagree with that statement,
I've never had a problem with any of the staff and Terry is very proud of his staffs knowledge,
I suggest that if you have had bad service/advise speak to Terry and he'll sort it out.

I haven't been there for a while but when i went i was once told a clown loach would be ok on its own in a 20 gallon because they only grow to the size of their tank... that good old urban myth!!

Also there are a lot of young, very unfriendly boys there... perhaps because i go at weekends... Also haven't been for a while so perhaps it's changed... I may go back and check it out because their stock is unmatched by any other shop i've ever seen... and the fish are in great condition!

I agree with The Wolf, and suggest you try and wait to get Terry Senior or Terry Junior to serve you. I do that when I go there and I can relate to what you're saying about the young lads! When you get the adults to serve you, it makes a big difference.

cool i work in the city, and thats not far from me that shop, gonna pop up there in me lunch break, get some stuff to sort out me Nitrite probs!!!

dont seem they have that many cat fish at the mo, but a few BIG ones, and a few unusal really nice ones...

they did seem to just have a delivery of about 10 bright red fighters though! looked good!

They often get deliveries on Tuesdays so maybe they're waiting for new stock atm. I've had 2 fighters from them beffore. Both been lovely fish
