Hi All

I have a 60 ltr tank which with a Aqua-flow 200 internal aquarium filter. The instruction tell me that the spray bar should be above the water.
My question to you all is what is the best position of the spray bar. I am finding it to be to strong for the fish in my tank and i am worried about stressing the fish out. Also does the filter have to be on for 24 hours?

Any help would be great

many thanks

Graham

Aimed across the surface. If the flow is too strong (what is the flow rate and what fish do you keep?) consider replacing the filter, if it is not one where you can adjust the flow.

Yes, the filter needs to be on all the time. Given that you were not sure on the point, please go read the beginners resource right now, especially the bit about nitrogen cycle: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/277264-beginners-resource-center/

Yep good solid advice :)

Also, you can reduce the strength of output from the filter by adding more holes to the spray bar (and/or extending the bar)

Cheers.
