what's the best all round filter for a 10 gallon?

Personally I use Aqua Clear Mini on all of my 10g or smaller. I stopped using sponge-filter only tanks.

I agree with the aqua clear mini. They are really good for small tanks.

My 10-gallon has a hang-on-back Whisper filter. I've never had any problems with it and it's nice and quiet.
