I currently have an Eclipse 3 gallon. LOVE it (other than having to lift the whole hood to feed the fish because the area you can open to access the filter doesn't give great access to the rest of the tank.

Am looking to get a one gallon filtered aquarium but Eclipse doesn't seem to make one.

I have never dealt with under gravel filters. I have seen the Mini Bow 2 1/2s, how are they? I could get the Eclipse Explorer 2 gallon, but that doesn't seem to have a light in it.

This is for one male betta.

Thanks for any input!

2 gallon doesn't have a light thats  but matbe to can put one in, i like tanks instead of bowls. i feel really bad for fish in bowls. and bowls are harder to maintain, you have to change 50% of water from other fish tank everyday because of no filter etc.. but it's up to you and good luck p.s. i think their will be a way to put a light in it :D

We have 2 of the Eclipse Explorer 2 gallon tanks that we use for hospital tanks for small fish, used to use them for fry. I think they would be great for a betta! No light, but we placed a small lamp behind which also heats the tanks. I can see no way to install a light. The Explorer has an insert in the top, in front of the filter for feeding.

underground filters blow..had one and would not reccomend to anyone..id go with the smalles power filter u can find..it will be overkill most likely but it's ur best option if u want to filter a 1 gallon
