Best Filter For 430 Liter Tank On A Budget Of £120

hi i'm new to all of this and i'm loking for an external filter that will keep a community tank of 430 liters running smooth i have looked at 2 they are pen-plax cascade 1200 and rena xp3 does anyone have any information on these or no of a better external filter for the same kind of money.

get a eheim 2028.cheapest is approx £125.its a brilliant filter made for approx 600 litre tanks max.

hi rixy everyone seems to rave about the eheim on this site i was just wondering if anyone has used the PENN-PLAX CASCADE 1200 any information would be appreciated it states that it can do tanks up to 680 literes and Pumps 315 gph is that good.

hi again i think you have talked me into getting the eheim 2028 filter my tank is going to be 55" long 16" wide and 32" deep will i have to buy any extra peices with it being such a deep tank. ps; where did you see the eheim 2028 for £125

with any big tank you are best of running 2 x big exturnal bucket filters as then when you need to clean 1 of the filters you will still have the other one running at full strenght as it take time after cleaning out a filter for it to regain is bio mass

well if money is the issue i would keep saving until you can afford eheims as they will save you money in the long run and wont need to replce them for 12yrs+ the parts are esy to find not that you should need them

a big tank is not something you should rush dont cut corners just to get it up and running NOW

the space wont be a problem just put one under each end of the tank in the cubords if you have and

work out how many liters you tank is then buy 2 x eheims that is rated to take care of you tank on its on

dont try to save money on cheap budget filters the filters are the kidney of your whole systerm
