Here is my 3 year old Crown Tail Betta. His name is Bert. I got him from on of my neighbors who bought him ofr their kids. When the kids stopped taking care of it, I offered to take it. So here he is. I feed him frozen and live bloodworms, as well as live misquito larvae. About 3 times a month he gets a live brine shrimp snack. I love him! I have this cool background in his tank. (10 whole gallons to himself) The background is laminated Wall paper!

Ummm bert is a pretty expensive betta! That "pride" (also known as a few other things) color strain is hard to come by.

If those people bought it for their kids they would have had to go to a breeder or something to get a fish like that.

WOW!!! That is one of the most beautiful bettas I've ever seen! Great job! It's American colors! BOTM for sure!

Thanks!

Yes, it wasn't cheep. Bert was the kids Christmas Present. My neighbors kids loved fish and all animals, and my nieghbors, well, you could say, could afford that kind of a bettas. We live in LA where there is a very very expensive Fish Shop that specializes in Crown Tail Bettas. I guess their supplier raises their own bettas and breeds them to form differant strains. So my neighbors got it for their 3 kids, but when the kids got older and got busy in school ext, so they didn't want the betta to go to waste so they gave it to me. It's not they gave it to me for free, I had to pay quite a bit. But not as much as they bought it for. Thats why I feed Bert very very high quality foods because he's worth so much. ;) :D

i third it, it reminds me of the italina flag though, lol. its really pretty,

beautiful!! that is one of my most favorite color strains..could you take some more pics of him?? please?

 I'll see what I can do. the picture of him isn't that new, it's 3 months old. Thats the last digi picture I have of him. Then my digi camera broke down so I couldn't take anymore and I haven't got around to fixing the camera. But when it does get fixed I'll be sure to take some more pics of him! :)

That betta is GREAT!!!

Shelly: depending on quality, they can range from (does his american conversions *passes out*) $3-$50.00. Someone kick me if I am wrong. :X
I pay around $10 Canadian for the ones I have here. :)

He is so gorgeous, Def Nom from me.

Wow, thanks so much for all the compliments. I'm pretty sure that Bert cost my neighbors right around $60! I only payed $40 for him and all his supplies.
