My fish is bent, like she looks like an L. She wasn't always this way but has spent much time lately at the bottom not doing much of anything. She seems to swim alright, for a bent fish. Does anyone know what could have caused this or what to do with her? any help would be great. Thanks.

Some of my mollies and guppie used to get this.....

i was pretty young so i dint know what to do, its was a real whore for me to get rid of.

What kind of fish was it?

Whoah, I read your title and thought your fish had the bends (not physically bent but when the nitrogen expands in your blood or however that works) Hope your fish gets better.

I also had a fish like this [a guppy]. Some people believe that this is caused by a sudden change in water temperature, lvls, stress, or inbreeding. The guppies can live full lives, but may be sensitive to another incident. My female guppy was perfectly fine with her condition, but when she was in labor she couldn't handle the stress and died. I have a male right now thats living a fine life, he's gotten some females pregnant and swims normal like you say. I don't think he knows he's different, and its just as well because theres nothing we can do about it. :X

I heard that sometimes fish can become bent or humpbacked because of poor nutrition. I don't know if its true or not but varying the food is always a good idea. I know that humpbacked fish can live pretty normal lives but it is more stressful and makes them more susceptible to disease.
