anyhow...thats my girl i just wanted to share!

:good: cute. pretty colours...
I only have one little girl, and she is so sweet. I cleaned her out last night, and it amazes me how she goes from a beautiful blue to a humbug looking stressy stripey girl. It was an emergency clean out as she had growing weed in her tank and it had gone yucky. Got to get her a pretty artificial bit! :hyper:

ps My Cambodian..Brodie..would be a good match for her :hyper: :hyper:

She is adorable!! I recently got a new lil' pink girl and she is just the sweetest thing  It's amazing how ga-ga we all get over a wee little fish isn't it? Her name suits her.

She's a pretty girl. Do we know her tail type yet? What name???? What is her new home?

Oops! I see, Bella!!!! Excellent name for a lovely lady!

hi jollysue,

no clue about tail type (my first betta). any ideas?

She is currently in my 44 gallon community tank with 5 rasboras. I was worried for multiple reasons (my rasbora nipping, strong currents, plastic plants, ect) But she seems to like the space. She explores every nook and cranny. Mainly she hangs out up in front of the tank along with the rasboras.

She is a very curious fish. When she checks something out, she creeps foward an inch, then she pauses stick still with her fins spread real wide, then creeps foward another inch, then another before she just takes off bored.

feeding time is hectic! that poor girl need to speed up. I guess she likes to stalk her food first so by the time she goes for it, BAM its gone! And i swear by it she has an expression like..."uh...what, wheres...where'd it go??!!" haha

Im am facinated by her so eventually i want to set her up into my 10 gallon (when the filter matures) so i could do a small female community or with something to keep her company because she seems to enjoy my rasboras. My 10 gal would be better because its more gentle waters, the tank isnt very deep, and i want to put live or silk plants in there. Besides i can feed them betta specific foods along with live. I like feeding my community tank freeze dried but i havnt because i heard it is bad for bettas.

any how....thanks for your interest! im in love

Yes, I remember now. Thanks for the pics! She is very nice.

A ten usg is perfect for a sorority tank. Five females is the recommendation for a 10 usg. Less than five won't ususally work. You will lurve a sorority tank!

I won't give a definitive answer, but she is probably a VT. She is not a CT. But I don't know about the rest.

Shes a lovely little cambo isnt she? I'd say she has CT blood as she has a little ray extension. I would say I have never seen a VT girl yet as thai breeders do not export them. She probably is a SD or pk maybe from looking at that anal fin.

That's about all I can get at the local fish shop: VTs. The cost of imports is prohibitive.

I think it's some difference with the UK. I know some shops get different tail types, but I think they are bred locally and not high enough demand/quality for ebay or aquabid. My freind breeds Angels. He breeds common ones for the lfs and special ones for private sale.
