Being Taxed

Is it possible to be taxed your entire months wages in one go? I always pay my taxes and I've never had a issue with them. But how am I ment to live if they just removed my wage in taxes?

I call them and they want me to call who I work for to reroll or something my wages again? They'll then fax details to them and I'll get the tax back.
 
They also said I overpaid tax last year and are sending out a check for it? Lolwut, Madness.

Feel free, She told me she wanted to check last years taxes and came back saying I was overpaying taxes. So there ya go

What do you mean taxed the entire month in a go?  Like, taxed your entire months tax in 1 pay instead of 2, or your entire months pay gone to tax?  Isnt it based on a % of your pay over the pond there?

Sounds like your were allocated an emergency tax code an never got allocated a correct one.

Tax over here, as far as I know, is 22%.

the gubberment can steal whatever it wants from you.. juss an fyi, in These United States the pay check you receive is not what you earned, it's what the gubberment lets you keep.. taxes are withheld before you ever get your pay check..

in the UK, most often, you end up with a refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
@OP. this is often used, (though not very often used, err if you see what i mean) as a punitive measure.

The US system is no more corrupt than the UK, both are equally spoiled.
