for my initial purchaces i intend to get....

a couple of clowns

a regal tang

a blue star

Malu clown Anemone

a couple of cleaner shrimp

does this sound like a good mix for the aquarium, to begin with?

how big's the tank gonna be?

tangs need a fair bit of room

anenome's are an absolute nightmare to keep alive, definately no for a beginner i'm afraid. :/

I agree with miss wiggle, you need a 100gal tank minimum for a regal tang (although I do have a baby one in my 50gal until she gets a bit bigger and will go into my 125gal)

Also anemones are so delicate and do not tolerate the fluctuations in water quality which all beginners get. If you really want an anemone the get one in a year or so at least, when you have got more experience. They also need really good lighting.

You should also include some snails to your clean up crew. :D
