Well been years since I last posted here and came to ask a question in an other section and figured show what I have done with my tank. Everything had finally died in it with a Cory lasting for ever and I had a small tank leak so re sealed the tank, and cycled it and added a Betta. I haven't had a Betta in ages so I went all out. Equipment is a 15 gallon tank with a fluval 106. Upgraded to a Hygger 75 watt dual sensor heater. Using a Nicrew light. Pretty much everything else is the same as my last tank such as the sand and such. Sand is Seachem onyx mixed with some other white sand. Still have the same crypt plants from way back when I posted here they are a very hearty plant. Added some java moss and Wisteria. For floating plants have red root Floaters and some duck weed. The stands for the light I need to paint but I scratch built those from styrene since I wanted the light raised. Rocks are a mix of slate, a lava rock and not sure what the other rock is. Threw in some Cattapa leaves Finally some Pothos holders and I propagated a bunch of Pothos which are doing very well along with a bit of Philodendron Micans. The Coconut caves I made myself from a Coconut as well. Hidden in the Java moss are also some Crystal Red shrimp. They only come out at night because my Betta is mean. lol My goal was as close to nature as possible and only thing not really real in the tank is the floating betta log. the betta doesn't seem to care about the floating log and seems to like to hang out in the moss and the Wisteria more.

:)

This is the light stand I built if anyone was curious. It has hooks and holds the light. They both pretty much the same except one had a ledge in one section.

This is a 5 gallon side project. I got this tank free but it had a leak so I resealed it. I had all the other stuff left over from the 15 gallon that I had upgraded items on. I then tried to setup a salt water brine shrimp tank and it failed. So a few days ago I cleaned it out and started over with an other freshwater tank with basically the same setup of my 15 gallon. I am cycling it right now for a month. At end of month going to put 2 female and 6 male Crystal Red Shrimp in and breed them and as they grow add them to the rest in the 15 gallon. Also have more Java moss coming as well. Same plants pretty much as other tank but just all the new ones that where sprouting. I was growing a sweet potato in a mason jar that after a month just finally started to sprout leaves and threw it in this tank with a bit of fertilizer and now its starting to do nicely. I like how it has red leaves. Seems to be the theme as of late of growing plants out of my aquarium which is new to me but I have been enjoying. I have been looking for a spider plant to do next. :)
