beat up betta

my short tailed male betta has a very odd injury... he has a very large gash across half of his face.
it looks as though half of his mouth is missing. is there anything i can do to help him out?
i can post pics if you want.

Where is your betta? Isolate and treat with antibacterial medicines.

Looking at your sig... you have a piranha and other fish in a 30 gallon tank. you also have goldfish in that tank. Are those other fish supposed to be food? And I am guessing the plec is not meant to be food, but might be attacked, no?

and only 1, im pretty sure they need to be in a group

actually he is in a ten by himself the 30 gal is a whole different tank.
