I was running the Python water changer to do my water change. I did a gravel clean and then rested the large tube in the tank and just watched it from my easy chair just in case a fish decides to take a ride. Well, my Gourami did just that. He was about 1 inch from going into the small tubing when I noticed the Gourami in the tube just in time. I lifted the tube out of the water and he quickly dropped back into the tank. He went down to the bottom of the tank and stayed there for about a half hour.

Now he's luckily back to his usually self swimming about the tank. Doesn't seem to be injured. I hope he learned his lesson and won't try that again.

It won't. Female Bettas, tiger barbs, and some gouramis and tetras are just plain stupid and will go into the gravel cleaner every time you put it in the tank :)

yeah thats true I once had a male betta a long time ago that got stuck in a hole in a decoration and died the hole was too small for it.

Yeh, my tiger barbs have done it too.

I stick a net over my Python so fish can't get on the giant waterslide of death. Had a couple close calls.

This happened to me with a betta. He swam so close and I didn't see him. He died later, I think largely due to the trauma.
