Battery Operated Air Pumps For Power Outage?

I live in South Florida and we are bound to run into hurricane season soon, in preparation I would like to get a battery powered Air Pump. I saw a Penn Plax one at the LFS. Are they all the same? Thanks!

well i wouldnt use an air pump if theres a power cut because it will just cool the water faster unless there is a quite a few fish in there and oxygen is low only should use it really

he lives in florida... in hurricane season, heater's aren't exactly required. ambient temp is usually 80+

thats a good idea but since I live in blizzard country where the one thing we do have all the time is electricity, I haven't really researched battery-operated stuff. good luck finding some though

Check out Barrier Reef in Boca Raton. They have several battery operated pumps that will keep you going for a while. I'm planning on using my generator during the day and the battery pump at night.

Hopefully we'll have a quite season this year.
