Barrel mini pond ( a bit less than 22g)

im starting a new project, 20g freshwater coldwater barrel
any ideas for good sealants in usa?
i want to seal it because i dont want fish to live in wine water

I used liner. Pin it, and screw it in with washers and wood screws. I then filled with substrate and precycled water. I wanted natives. I can give you some ideas for natives. What help do you want right now?

You know beneficial bacteria doesn't live in the water right?

I used other things - substrate, put in old filter media, etc.

i found a tiny suckermouth catfish thing like an oto
some small schoolers
mosquitofish (gambusia)
tadpoles

i might make a tank for natives and one for stuff like barbs, rosy red minnows, other cold water
can ghost shrimp cold water?
what about snails

There's plenty of muppets around who have pet monkeys, lions and tigers. They won't be worried about your whale in a wine barrel
