Bare-bottom Tank?

Hello, in accordance to ease of cleaning i want to get rid of the river rocks in my goldfishy wishy aquaium so its easy to shypon dirty out

Is this safe for the goldfish? I read that it can stress them thus causing white spot (which is not fun, my Black Moor has it =[ )
