I just found and brought a breeding pair of barbatus cory's today. They are georgous!!!!!
Here's a pic..

Male = Left, Female = Right

Doe's anyone else have this corys

If you want to spawn them the water needs to be quite cool, have a look at this for more info on them

They are very attractive fish, Well diffently own a shoal a few years from now

Yep i have some. The temp in the tank needs to be around 21c. Anything above that and if they are adult, you will lose them. Its a common misconception that they like warmer water.

And as Paul states, they are not Corydoras they are now Scleromystax and were re-classified about 3 years ago. However, bloody LFS's still like to label them up incorrectly GRRRRRRRRRRR!!

I agree very nice.

I remember reading something Sunday about there being talk of recassifing this species as a Cory.
Whoops! Read it backwards. Was reclassified from Corydoras to Scleromystax in 2004. (Scotcat is a wunnerful thing.)
