Banning Goldfish As Prizes

I think they are becoming less popular anyway

The fair was in town last week, and there are usualy loads of goldfish for prizes, and there were only toys this time, or cash.

I suppose it might because i live in Chav-town, and after the fair there are 100s of mutilated goldfish corpses strewn around.

longest goldfish blaine kept was the one he won at the fair he must of had it 10 years, it was massive and looked after really well, i think winning them teaches kids how to be a tad more responsible in my opinion!

There is no such thing as Chav-town. England is the Chav capital of the world my friend.

Am off to sign petition anyway, it can't hurt!

for every 1 person who looks after them theres probably atleast 10 that dont

yeah i understand that..... but

people buy fish in general not winning them and dont look after them right

(sorry bit of a devils advocate going on here sorry)

It actually was included in the Animal Welfare Bill but doesn't come into full effect until January next year (like most of the animal welfare bill). There are loopholes however that do still allow pets as prizes but by Easter next year various pieces of legislation will be in place that WILL stop pets as prizes once and for all.
