Bannerfish In A 260L Reef?

I'm sure Ben will be along soon, he kept one and can give you the low down - lovely looking fish though and certainly a better option than a Moorish idol (although I would so love one. I beleive they do better in pairs or groups but obviously your tank isn't big enough for a group

Theres two types of banner fish, look almost identical and one isnt reef safe. I can't remeber the latin names, but you need to be sure.

You tank isnt really big enough, they do get quite large. They do live in groups in the wild though. Getting a very small one and re-homing him when he gets too big may work.

yer thats what im going to do with my regal tang (or hopefully get an even bigger tank)! lol i may stick to kole and yellow tangs and copperbands lol

Copperbands a much harder fish to keep. They dont often feed well in anything other than HUGE tanks

You probably better off with neither. At least a small banner fish should survive til it outgrows the tank. So out of the two, banner ifsh
