im keeping my 5" banjo with my 3" senegal to act as a clean up crew for the senny since they both are on the same diet. and yes, when the bichir gets much bigger i will promptly remove the banjo to a safe tank. until then... id like to jack the temp. up to about 84 to keep my senny happy. will this be too much for the banjo or will he be fine? i love that little catfish and i dont want any harm to come to him so please, dont be offended, but i dont want any "well i heard this is true" answers. id like first hand experience. :good: thank you all in advance.

Assuming you have Bunocephalus coracoideus, then the ideal temp (according to PC) is 20.0-27.0°C or 68-80.6°F, so I'd say 86 will be too hot.

thats what i thought. in fact my heater wasnt quite calibrated right and last night the temp was up to 82. i promptly moved the banjo to the community tank where he is quite happy :good:
