Cna't make much out in the pic. Is it a parasite or fin bone thing.

Never seen anything like it before.
Has a fish been attacking him. Or its a flesh eating bacteria.

Has another fish been nibbling at him.
I would post in tropical discussion aswell as not sure what to suggest doing.

Any chance of a photograph from above.

Can you list tank size and other occupants please.

What decorations are in the tank??

um bout 40 liters i think, 60 cm by 30 cm by 30 cm, and theres 1 dwarf gorumi, 5 rosy tetras, 3 marble hatchet fish and 2 hillstream loaches
and theres a large rock, a large broadleaved plant, dont know the spicies and a large pice of bogwod, and gravel as the substrate

umm i havmnt seen any other fish nibbling at them so i duno lol

Yours tanks overstocked.
Can you post your water stats please in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Has the bone just started showing overnight, or has the skin been peeling away for a while.

ohh kks, welli hvnt got amother tank so not much i can do about that, and well i dunno i only just noticed it this afternoon, but i dont think it was there yesterday, and well i dont have a test kit  , but i'll get one soon

I would do a water change for now.
Take a sample of your water to the lfs and ask them to write the readings down for you.
I would strongly suggest investing in some liquid test kits.
Check his body for peeling skin, Are his fins ok, are they rotting away.

the rest of him looks perfectly healthy to me, and ok i'll do a water change asap, and how much is a liquid testing kit roughly? also i just found this anti fungus and finrot thingy, should i put some of that in?

Bad water quality can make the skin peel away.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Do you have any melafix as I would just add that to stop infection.
A api master kits about 18 pounds I think.

ok i'll try and get one soon, and i dont have melafix but if got interpet inti fungus & finrot and tetra medica fungistop, it says it is effective against fish fungus, external bacteral infections and wounds... shall i try either of them?

Add the tetra med then if its for external wounds.
Get your water tested.
