so im looking to add bandit corries to my tank during the week, has anyone ever had them and can give me some information on them, what to feed them other than flakes, my substrate is gravel is that ok for them or do them need sand. how many should i get 2,3,5,,,

i have seven harlequins in the tank at the moment i feed them flake too is there anything else i shud feed them too. its a 15 gal tank am i fully stocked at this or could the tank take one more centre piece fish.

They will eat flakes, providing they reach the bottom, but personally, I use catfish pellets which they love. Gravel can be ok aslong as it is rounded, as jagged edges can damage their barbels, but they will much prefer sifting through the sand.

Ideally, people say groups of 6 or more for them to be happiest, yet I found no difference in their activity when I was at 3. What are the dimesions of your tank as that can say more than just the volume alone.

Metae corys (Bandits)are great little corys. I give mine catfish pellets, Tetra prima, Tetra Tabimin, and any flake that fall to the substrate. They also love frozen bloodworm. Here's a good link, http://www.seriouslyfish.com/profile.php?genus=Corydoras&species=metae&id=288
