Hi,

The new betta I got is banded. He looks super cool. Have you ever seen those banded cows? like black on the head and all white in the middle and then black again at the back? And where the colors split it is a perfect line?

Anyways I was just wondering if that is common in Bettas?

The guy I got he's got a dark mauve head. His middle section is light opaly pink and then bluish after that. The line separating the colors is perfectly straight. I've never seen a betta like him before but then again I'm so new to betta keeping.

I was just curious!!

Thanks ;)

I never seen a cow like that

But u make it sound like a female....

I have no idea the name of the cow.....there are pigs like that too...

I'm trying to find a webpage so you can see what I'm talking about.

No the betta is a male

Hi Danio,
No it isn't like that cow...did you take a look at the link I gave of the pig? It has those banded type markings. My Bettas are perfectly straight though no slants or jagged edges. It looks so cool....never seen one like this before. It's just a common veiltail but he's quite gorgeous

I broke my camera like 3 months ago....so I can't even get a pic!!

I'll have a look myself on google and see if I can find any like him.

Thanks!

Hi Danio,

Yes that is the cow I am talking about!! Finally lol....been searching on google trying to find that darn cow haha

Yeah this fish looks so cool. It's body is 3 colors divided up. Head is super dark mauve then it's body is divided in 2 colors first a like pinky opal color then a bluey opal color. The 2 colors are divided by a perfectly straight line. Really weird!! I will have to get a picture of him and post it once I get a new camera....hopefully this month.

Thanks for your help in searching for the cow

I think you've got one somewhat rare Betta there. I've seen pictures of them colour divided lengthwise but only on sites of professional breeders where it will cost alot to buy one. Sure hope we get a chance to see him soon, he sounds absolutely lovely!

there is another very similar cow called a belted galloway

im full of useful knowledge

sounds like a pretty fish :)

hahaha:) yes full of good knowledge

Yeah that cow is almost the same as the other one....I think they are really cool!!

This forum has become a forum about cows and pigs lol
