Bamboo?

Just wondering if there are any negative affects of bamboo on betta fishies.

I've had a "lucky" bamboo plant in my betta's 1g for over a month now. The betta loves it, it is consuming excess nitrates like crazy, and it takes zero maintainance. I love it!!!

Thanks! A stick of bamboo has been hanging in one of my betta's tanks for about a week now and he seems to like nibbling the roots as well as swimming around them in circles I'll watch for any negative affects though, since the one member's fish caught a case of fin rot
