What variety of bamboo, there are hundredsRan across bamboo the other day. Did a bit of reading and sure enough there are different thoughts as to best take care of this plant in your aquarium.

The cut part at the top of the stem, just above where the sprout grows out. I'm not sure if "crown" is the proper term, it's just what I've always heard it called.What is the crown?
