Bamboo Shrimp

i have 2 bamboo shrimp one is fine mooches around doing (according to what i've read) normal shrimp things the other almost since day one has hidden inside a volcano ornament, it has a airstone under it, every few days i have to lift the volcano to check it hasnt died, his colour is ok and he appears to be as healthy as the other one, is this ok or is it just shy, they have two very personalities, if thats what you can call it

Hey there,

as far as i understand it, they are water column filter feeders, that like to sit in good flow, and grab fine particulate matter using their 'fans'... I should imagine that your little volcano with the air pump rpovides an ideal environment in being secure, and having good flow...

perhaps add a small power head to create a spot of flow?
