Sorry guys I have forgotten which of these little beauties I have. Following your suggestions to try platies or mollies - I went to my lfs and was watching and choosing them for quite a while. Eventually I chose 3 platies (I am sure that is what they are, I am a little confused as I was there for such a long time), a silver female, a black/grey female and an orange male. Now ... the things is I thought that the male would be doing his court ship thing with the females but it seems that the females are doing all the fluttering of the tail and fancy little dances around him - is this right ? Should he not be doing the chasing or may be I have a little boy who does not like little girls ?!
Just cannot work it out. However, having said this I was watching them the other evening and he discharged a cloud of white fluid whilst a female was near him - can I assume this to be that he is attempting to bred ??
They are amazing fish - I love them they are real characters.
I wouldn't worry about the male, as far as I know fish can not be homosexual as such.
