Hi all! I just bought a balloon molly from the pet store last week (she is about 1 inch long) and I thought it was just cute and fat until her stomach started getting a little bigger. I’ve done some research and I’m about 90% sure she’s pregnant...could anyone tell me about how long she has until she gives birth? She is still eating, no sign of a birthing tube(I don’t think), dark spots behind the anal fin and occasionally spending time in crevasses/between plants. I really can’t tell if she’s about to burst or not because of how tiny she is or if she still has some time.
I don’t want to put her in a breeding net too early, I would prefer to do that a few days before the fry come, but anyway if anyone can let me know where she’s at in her pregnancy or if she even is pregnant I would really appreciate it. THANK YOU!!
