So, i woke up to my balloon mollie sucked to the tube that pulls the water into my filter this morning. The entire top of it is a dark brownish color, and the top of its head looks like it was dipped in mud or something. It was a white color to begin with, so i have no idea where the brown came from. My LFS was closed today due to the holiday, but i put it into a small bag with some water, im going to take if there tomorrow after work and see if she knows what happened.

It was fine last night, swimming and eating normal. Any one know what caused the color change/death?

TIA

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

The brown on fish is it where the filter has damaged her.
The brown on her is it fluffy looking.
Is the filter current to strong for you fish and blowing them about.

i went to my LFS today, and she looked at the fish and said that it was bruising from getting stuck. :( she told me that i need to put a small sock, or some sort of netting over the bottom of the part where the water is sucked up to keep this from happening again.

thanks

Hows the fish doing now.
