Bala Sharks Growing Tank?

Hi guys, thought I would post this here as its was already in the general forum. I am looking to grow out 5 x 2.5" Bala sharks and I have an option of 2 tanks. a 48"x12"x15" or a 26"x27"x24". The latter is better for water volume but obviously the 4ft is longer, what do you think?
I would prefer the cubed one really which will probably be housing a group of Elephant nose.

The 4 foot tank will be better for them. If they aren't in a tank that's long enough, they usually have messed up noses where they have ran into the glass too many times.
