BALA SHARK PROBLEM

Hey everyone,

I have 4 bala sharks in a 200 gallon tank, they are all very happy. They are stilll quite small, about 4-5 inches. One of them looks weird. One of his/her eyes are white, the colour is almost completely gone. The fins on him/her are also fading. Is it going to be alright? Is something stressing it or is it an internal parasite? What can I do to help it?

Has the tank been cycled (read link in sig.)? What are the water params?

The tank has been cycled. The water paramaters are all good... the PH is a bit high... 7.2.

Could it be that you'd recently changed your water and one of them was left out of it for a little longer than usual? Lack of oxygen can sometimes cause this deterioration. Give it a day and see if it recovers it colouration. If it doesn't then it could be stressed in some way. Be it water quality, perhaps something is wrong even though you've said its fine.

Sorry, I can't think of anything else apart from these two reasons.
