Bala is pretty beat up

I had my bala shark with a pretty agressive fish that I moved out of the tank today. My bala have some of his scales ripped off and his fins are alittle torn. He doesnt seem too bad though he is moving around fine and acting like every thing is normal. Is there anything I can put in the tank to help him grow them back?

What other fish was he with and how many gallons did the tank hold?
Melafix is great for helping speed up the healing process of wounds and will help prevent secondary infection from setting in.

right now he is in a 55 us gallon, and he was with a convict cichlid. Now he is with 2 angelfish and 1 corydoras catfish

If the angel fish aern't bothing him, keep him in there and dose the tank with some Melafix to help him recover- make sure they aern't any sharp rocks or ornements that he can't bump into as balas can be quite skittish at times

All 6 of my balas have always got numerous scales missing from when they scare themselves and hit things. They usually heal up pretty well.
