Baking Soda

I've been using baking soda for years now to raise the Ph level in my tanks. My mom told me to use it years ago and it seems to work really good without any problems. Anyone else use it?

Just curious if anyone has any input on this.

Yep! I've been using it for years. Baking soda is a great neutralising agent, and in comparison with a lot of the chemicals sold in stores, I feel it's gentler on the fish.

I've used lemon juice as an acidifiying (Not nutrilising) the water...it was an emergency
